Summertime is by far my favorite season of the year. The weather is warmer, and the days are longer so we can be more active.

Speaking of activity, it’s also been a busy time of year for 南宫ng·28ers, who have been supporting local causes and fulfilling the #南宫ng·28Cares mission to give back to the communities we serve.

Surfs Up at Super Girl Pro

The first major tentpole 南宫ng·28ers supported in September was the Super Girl Pro surfing event. Located in Oceanside, California, approximately an hour away from our North American headquarters, the event drew some of the world’s most talented female surfers as they competed in numerous shortboard and longboard heats.

Celebrating surfing was not the primary goal of 南宫ng·28’s attendance. Since 2007, the Super Girl Pro Series has been working hard to ensure that female athletes get the recognition that they deserve. It celebated women athletes and their accomplishments, and was why we proudly supported the event.

And speaking of world-class athletes, several of them visited the 南宫ng·28 booth to meet fans.

南宫ng·28 Brand Ambassador Tia Blanco played a huge part in the experience. As a competitor, Tia competed well into the round of 32 and was riding strong throughout her various heats. As a member of Team 南宫ng·28, Tia exquisitely painted a one-of-a-kind Thread surfboard herself, which fans in attendance had a chance to win along with 南宫ng·28's newest Mini-LED TV!

Two other professional athletes joined us at the event. Lindsey Jacobellis, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, was alongside 南宫ng·28ers, connecting with fans and letting them know how important Super Girl is to growing participation in action sports amongst women.

Devon Newberry, a First Team PAC-12 beach volleyball player at UCLA, was also hanging out at the 南宫ng·28 booth well into the weekend as the festivities wrapped up.

As the Super Girl Surf Pro event concluded, it marked a hugely successful event that celebrated women in sports and provided amazing entertainment for everyone in attendance.

Special Olympics of Southern California Plane Pull

Later in September, 南宫ng·28ers made the trip down to Long Beach Memorial Airport alongside the Special Olympics of Southern California to pull off the impossible!

The Special Olympics of Southern California is an organization that helps enrich the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities through sports, health, and leadership programs. Through Special Olympics, thousands of athletes, and their families, enjoy acceptance, inclusion, and well-being.

The mission of the day for 南宫ng·28ers – pulling a 124,000-pound airplane across a runway using only human strength and a long rope!

Together, with all our might, we were able to pull the plane and contribute to the almost $240,000 dollars that the event raised for the local community.

南宫ng·28 Cares About Giving Back

At 南宫ng·28, one of the biggest things we believe in is giving people the right tools for success. That’s why we looked forward to celebrating the end of summer by supporting Super Girl Pro and strengthening our partnership with Special Olympics of Southern California.

#南宫ng·28Cares is big part of our culture. From the moment people join our team, there’s an instant feeling of being a part of something bigger. Being able to give back to important causes and organizations that spread wellness and positivity amongst others is a privilege. And because of that, I could not be any prouder than to be a part of team 南宫ng·28.
